TLR Signaling

Toll-like receptor signaling antibodies, or TLR signaling antibodies, bind against TLR signaling proteins. TLR signaling proteins play a role in the innate immunity response or innate immune system. . Innate or non-specific immune functions include first line of defense barriers like the skin, mucous membranes, and bodily secretions like saliva, tears, and sweat. Components of the innate immune system include anatomic barriers, humoral barriers, and cellular barriers. Anatomic barriers (mechanical, chemical, and biological factors) consist of the skin, tears, saliva, and cilia in the respiratory and digestive systems. Humoral barriers include the body's inflammation response, coagulation system, interferons, lysozymes, and interleukins. Cellular barriers like neutrophils, macrophages, dentritic cells, natural killer cells, and eosinophils help to further the body's immune response. Toll like receptor signaling proteins are membrane spanning single receptor proteins which recognize microbes that have penetrated physical immune barriers like the skin. TLR's recognize these invaders and activate the immune cell response.

Angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma is a rare tumor that manifests in the extremities of young adults and adolescents as a nodular subcutaneous growth. Anti-MyD88 Antibody binds against the MyD88 protein target. MyD88 is an adapter protein involved in the toll0like receptor and the IL-1 pathway in the innate immune system response. MyD88 action has involvement in cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. MyD88 is ubiquitously expressed in the cytoplasm of all tissues in the body. Defects in MyD88 are the cause of recurrent pyogenic bacterial infections due to MyD88 deficiency. Pyogenic bacterial infections due to deficient MyD88 is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by a susceptibility to an extensive array of pyogenic bacterial pathogens often leading to pneumococcal disease. Affected individuals typically have normal resistance and immune response to other types of microbes not from the pyogenic bacterial family.
